Bibliography

We are often asked for further sources of information on Metabolic Typing® and our philosophy. The Healthexcel System Of Metabolic Typing® is unique in the world today . There is no other program or philosophy like it. It is the result of an evolutionary process that spans some 40 years involving the synthesis of extensive empirical research and clinical experience involving nearly 30,000 subjects, as well as the distillation of the research of many past pioneers in the field. We are currently writing a textbook delineating in detail the philosophy and clinical application. Until that book is available, the only alternative is to glean the bits and pieces of our concepts as found in the writings of other metabolic researchers as listed below.

Unfortunately, many of the books are out of print and difficult to find. Anyone having a sincere interest in learning about our philosophy should complete their own Metabolic Type® evaluation with The H.O.P.E. Program. No one knows you better than yourself. Your own evaluation is the best place to start from to learn about our program. Besides, experience has demonstrated unequivocally to us over these many years that the learning of this subject must necessarily involve experience as well as information. Just as you can never really convey the taste of an orange through a book or verbal description to someone who's never tasted one, likewise one must experience the various parameters of Metabolic Typing® -- sympathetic, parasympathetic, fast oxidation, etc. -- in order to grasp their complete meaning.

Because of the uniqueness of this approach, once you grasped the complete tenets of this philosophy, you'll never view the world as it relates to health/disease quite the same again. Thank you for your interest. We wish to acknowledge our debt of gratitude to the authors that follow:
